A Wilted Rose

Snow covers the ground,

And loneliness consumes the earth.

A rose is now dying,

And everything turns to gray.

The clouds turn black and consume the sky,

The world turns cold,

And nothing is the same.

A wilted rose now lies on a stone,

Where the life of the world used to be,

But now all is black,

All the color has been drained from the world,

And I grow tired and weaker each day.

Darkness begins to consume me too,

But I have to be strong.

I have to be strong for the world,

The world that is now dead.

Somehow I have to bring the color back,

I have to bring the life back to the earth.

I need to stop the pain and crying,

I need to stop myself from failing.

A rose still lies on a stone,

Where the life of the world used to be,

And now,

All hope is gone,

And I’m left here with the dead world before my eyes,

My eyes fill with tears,

And my heart aches.

A wilted rose now lies on my stone where I used to be,

Now the world is dead, and so am I.
