Ours. . . . .

Saltgrass was underneath and blue topaz hung off the lights of the night, somehow.

One more shiny rimmed glass was clanking,

As we spun around in a do-si-do, we were left beaming.

I was into you and you were all about me,

loosely tangled in love.

Crisper was the night and softer in the exchange was the air, somehow.

One more shiny rimmed glass was clanking,

One more turn around, and then back up again, we do-si-doed along the brick steps and fell back again.

In love.

In a time that we could be lost to,

We could not hang onto it,
we could only hope to believe in it,
and everyday as we said our goodbyes.

Never forgetting that it 'twas our night, and a place to return to after the dawn.

I was into you and you were all about me, and so loosely tangled in this love.

Our life.

Our night.

In a time that we had been lent to.

We danced inside of it,
and came apart in it.

Our life.

Our time.

Forever 'twas this love.
