The Moon was once a ravishing queen

left for dead by her hateful king

Now she floats atop a river

filled with salt from her tears

Unrequitted love forlorn

the king sits upon his throne

with a watchful eye cast upon

the beauty he never truly loved

She gazes longingly

upon his home

wishing to once more

stay within its walls

The kings grown heavy and the Moon's grown thin

their eyes a matching pool of pain

While the king relives

the love of past

The Moon realizes it never would have last

and suddenly out her stark blue eyes

a burst of tears

bleaches her face

The king watches from miles away

and with a gasp of horror

he says

She, my queen. My beauty my moon, she overflows from the pain i hast caused.
