WIND

WIND IS A WONDROUS THING;

CAN BE GENTLE AND SOFT,

OR HAVE SHATTERING FORCE;

BLOWING WHOLE BUILDINGS ALOFT.

FROM SMALL DUST DEVILS,

SPAWNED AT LOW SPEED;

TO DESTRUCTIVE TORNADOS,

MAKING THE VERY LAND BLEED.

A LIGHT BREEZE CAN BLOW,

ENOUGH TO FLUTTER LEAVES;

OR A HURRICANE CAN ROAR,

SNAPPING TREES WITH EASE.

THUNDERSTORMS CAN BLOW,

RAIN AND LIGHTNING FLASHING;

MILD, COMPARED TO A CYCLONE,

WREAKING HAVOC, STRUCTURES CRASHING.

A HOWLING WINTER BLIZZARD,

FREEZING EVERYTHING IN ITS' PATH;

A STINGING DESERT SANDSTORM,

CHOKING ALL IN ITS' WRATH.

THE WIND CAN BE A FRIEND,

COOLING A BLISTERING DAY;

OR CAN BE A POWERFUL ENEMY,

DESTROYING EVERYTHING IN ITS' WAY.
